Peekaboo Backyard Eatery won the Supreme Award at the 2025 Lion Hospitality New Zealand Business Awards for Excellence. It was also named Best Cafe, and Sustainable Champion. The former mechanics workshop, and later grocer, was stripped back and reimagined with warm comfortable tones. We opened the space and building facade up, put an outdoor bar and cafe in, and made the exterior suited for year round use which included a family friendly playground.
